Lecture "Women on their ways -
A feminist critique on methods used in the field of traffic and transport planning"
This lecture deals with the methods used in the field of traffic and transport planning to get information on the mobility and travel statistics. It criticises the establihed standardised questionnaires from a feminist point of view: the journey purposes, the reasons for travelling (e.g. „to and from work“, „travelling on business“, „education“, „escort“, „shopping“, „personal business“, „leisure“) reflect on the existing gender relationship within our society: The varitey of a person's trips and journeys with caring responsibilities is not visible within these categories.
